About me
Joshua López is a dedicated 3D animator/artist and graphic designer whose vibrant work is shaped by their Puerto Rican and Catholic heritage. While pursuing his Master’s degree at William Paterson University, his artistic journey has led him to producing animations for renowned clients such as the New York Yankees, Nickelodeon Universe, and Anticimex Pest Control. Through a blend of traditional influences and modern techniques, Josh crafts visually compelling stories that resonate with a wide audience. His first short film, Zemis Part 1 has premiered in film festivals around the world and earned him the award for Best Animated Short Film at the South Cinematographic Academy Film & Arts Festival and semi-finalists in the Student Los Angeles Film Awards. Joshua also has collaborated with practicing artists by scanning their existing artworks and 3D printing them for casting and creating duplicates.
Driven by a mission to uplift minority voices and enhance Latino representation, Joshua’s art challenges stereotypes and highlights the richness of Latino culture while blending in themes of spirituality, tradition, and politics. His work not only entertains but also educates and empowers, and brings an appreciation for diversity in the arts. With each project, Joshua continues to push himself with 3D animation/art and graphic design, and hopes to make a significant impact in the contemporary art world.
